But I prefer to work at 0.08 Euro per source word.

I charge for my services at least 15 Euro per hour.

And my minimum charge per document is 15 Euro.

I have obtained an official translator / linguist degree.

I have been working as a translator since 2006.

I provide the following services: Translation, Proofreading, Interpretation (consecutive), Subtitling, Tour Guiding, Teaching (Language Courses).

By today, I have translated about 50,000 to 100,000 words.

I use the following tools: SDL Trados, Wordfast.

Hello! I’m Sonia, I’m a native Italian speaker; I'm currently living in Tuscany, Italy, working as a freelance translator, a video maker and a tutor. I’m a resourceful and versatile person, quick to learn, full of interests and energy. I surely face each new work experience with analytical approach and dedication, being quite thorough and focused, but also with inspiration and enthusiasm, thanks to my creative nature.
Here is a brief summary of my education and professional experience.
In July 2012, I was awarded a Master’s degree (2nddegree) in Translation by the Advanced School of Modern Languages for Translators and Interpreters (University of Trieste, Italy).Thanks to my education and experience my foreign language skills include advanced proficiency in French and English (levels C2-C1 of CEFR), fluency in Russian and an intermediate level in Spanish.
With regard to my working experience, I lived in France from October 2013 until June 2015, approaching teaching to young students as an Italian language teaching assistant in a high school and in a middle school of the French department of Ardèche. Later then, I was a multilingual tour guide in a Champagne House of the renowned LVMH group, world-leader in luxury. I was able to interact with tourists from all over the world and to do abundant research on the wine industry terminology that I used in the guided tours I handled in three different languages. Moreover, I never stopped tutoring and making translations from time to time for private clients (for all references find attached the .pdf resume). When I came back to Italy, I once worked as a French to Italian conference interpreter, but mostly I was a sales and service manager and a document control specialist for a while, handling business communications with foreign customers and making technical translations for the companies for whom I worked. In the last four years I devoted myself to the teaching job, becoming a middle school French teacher.
