Italian translator. The languages I am fluent in are: English, French and Swedish, for which I have obtained official C1-C2 level certificates of proficiency (CAE, DALF, TISUS). I graduated in Modern Languages: Literatures and Translation at the University of Messina in 2017, with 110/110 cum laude. I'm currently working at the Agriculture Department of the Sicilian Region, where I translate European official documents into Italian using professional CAT tools with official Translation Memories of the European Commission. So I'm developing extended personal CAT glossaries of terms related to European documents and law, and to the agricultural sector. I have gained experience in the legal translation field, in English and French, for the drafting of applications for international protection on behalf of unaccompanied foreign minors; in the academic field, with the collaboration to the translation into English of a monograph in the field of humanities; in the literary field, with the translation of poems by Swedish authors, for which I held a seminar at the University of Messina. I also worked as an interpreter for a Sicilian bakery that had been selected for the 2018 Summer Fancy Food Show in NYC. I got a Master in Specialized Translation of the Higher School of Interpreters and Translators of Pescara, in legal, web and medical translation, where I also learned to use SDL Trados. Also, I attended a Udacity course in language localization. I collaborate with freelance copywriters and I attended the Google course in Digital Marketing to have a broader view of the digital world (I'm also providing a new communication strategy for the Regional Department's institutional social media). I have experience in the field of research, which allows me to fully understand academic texts with their terminology and their structures, with two scholarships which allowed me to carry out research in Swedish universities.
